Instigator Under Fire Part Three

Posted by laorithe6606 Jun. 5, 2008 @ 6:27 PM EDT

Well, now this is going to be the last short segment of Instigator Under Fire. I'll still be going on with the series, but I developed the "brilliant" idea to write a longer part on Word, then pasting it here. Therefore, it will take longer. Either way, here is the third installment.

Oh, and I'm still trying to get the hyphenated line right :(
Please give me an exact number of dashes if you bother to count.

Seillon was grasped and led off the bridge. Most of the crew had fought and had been killed. Seillon, however, was spared.

"Last time I met you, you were working for the Terran governments. Is this how you repay us?" the Terran commander asked."

"This is far from over. Our frigates are almost here. They will destroy the Jeanne," Seillon replied.

"Ah, but our battlecruisers are approaching too."

"Your point?"

Jedd One, aka Harold MacIntyre, had been a Terran but defected to the New Inquisition two years ago. He now was an expert assassin and was traveling behind McKinnon.

One hundred ninety-nine metres.

Jedd Seven investigated the stretch of hallway ahead of him. No turrets, no guards. Strange, as this went directly to the bridge.

In space, the battlecruisers had come. The frigates were still on their way.

The Terran commander faced Seillon directly. Despite the commander being six foot five, Seillon was a foot taller and intimidated his captors.

The commander said, "Douglass, I w-will give one last chance. Surrender, or we get off and have our battlecruisers kill you instead."

"I'm not stupid," Seillon answered, "and I know that either way, I die. Do your worst."

Jedd Seven and One proceeded first. They had not bothered to look into the intersecting corridor. Instead, they opened the bridge.

Two Terrans had their guns trained on MacIntyre. In the corridor, a platoon had aimed at the others. Jedd Seven raised his hands nervously. He knew when to give up.

Seillon's captors had climbed back on the walkway to the Jeanne. Seillon quickly returned to the bridge. The power was back on.

As the battlecruisers charged their lasers at the Instigator, Seillon turned the shields back on. They had started the battle at 10:00, according to the place on Earth's surface they orbited. It was now one in the morning.

The white glow was back, and the cruiser seamlessly defeated the nearest two Terran ships. Moreover, the frigates arrived...
